Amy is a published writer with more than 12 years’ experience in publishing and marketing communications. After completing a Communications degree, majoring in creative advertising, Amy honed her skills for many years within in-house advertising agencies where she held positions in both copywriting and marketing.
Not one to sit still, Amy completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching during a period of extended maternity leave and spent time as an English and Film/Media teacher before returning to the workforce full-time.
In 2007 she became editor for Gold Coast magazine publisher Crowther Blayne & Associates, a position she loves and has held for the past seven years. However, during this time her penchant for story telling and thirst for creative opportunities also led Amy to launch a freelance copywriting business, My Word Copywriting. Due to her experience, Amy is able to assist clients in a broad range of areas including feature article writing, website content, blogs and social media commentary, newsletters, brochures and editing and proofreading services.
